The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has codified and authorized for operation in the troops about 20 samples of armored fighting vehicles created on the principle of MRAP.

Structurally, such machines have formations adapted to dissipate the energy of the explosion of mines or homemade explosive devices, as well as special cushioning seats for the crew and landing.

Armored vehicles created on the principle of MRAP, consist of a capsule that provides protection of personnel during detonation. The engine and wheels act as explosion-absorbing elements that take over all the kinetic energy from the mine explosion, preserving the integrity of the module.

For the needs of Ukrainian defenders, samples of armored vehicles produced by defense concerns of the United States, Great Britain, Australia, Turkey, etc., were admitted to operation.

The arsenal of armored vehicles of the Ukrainian army has been replenished with the products of Ukrainian manufacturers of the OVC sector, created using MRAP technology.
